About the Role

Product Managers at U.S. Bank are customer-obsessed, data-driven, and technology-forward, driving product vision, strategy, and delivery across our human + digital ecosystem. We stay ahead of evolving customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies—including automation, AI, and advanced analytics. As a Product Manager, you will lead the development of automation-first and AI-enabled capabilities that improve servicing efficiency, reduce operational risk, and enhance both customer and employee experiences. You will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to translate complex operational needs into scalable, compliant product solutions. This role is ideal for a Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment; works independently with directional guidance; and can balance innovation with regulatory rigor in a large financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Support feature-level roadmaps aligned to the Operations Enablement product vision, business priorities, and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI/ML, and workflow orchestration to reduce manual effort, cycle times, and error rates.
  • Apply OKRs, outcome-based metrics, and value frameworks to guide prioritization and measure impact.
  • Support end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery, ideation, and experimentation through delivery, launch, and optimization for assigned features.
  • Partner with Agile delivery teams to define clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
  • Validate solutions through customer and employee feedback, data analysis, and experimentation (e.g., A/B testing, pilots, phased rollouts).
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to deliver intelligent automation (RPA, workflow automation, event-driven processing), AI/ML-enabled capabilities (e.g., decisioning, classification, routing, recommendations), and self-service and assistive tools for servicing teams.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering partners to ensure AI and automation solutions are explainable, auditable, and compliant with model risk management, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Align with Risk and Compliance direction to embed controls, monitoring, and governance into product design.
  • Identify operational pain points and facilitate design of scalable solutions that improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and resiliency.
  • Drive standardization and reuse through platform capabilities, APIs, and shared services.
  • Support change management and adoption across Operations teams.
  • Serve as the primary product interface for assigned features between Operations, Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance, and Customer Experience.
  • Translate business and regulatory needs into actionable product feature strategies and delivery plans.
  • Influence without authority across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Understand and monitor KPIs tied to operational outcomes such as: Cost-to-serve, Cycle time reduction, Automation rates, Customer satisfaction, Risk and error reduction.
  • Use data and insights to continuously refine features, workflows, and AI models.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, preferably in financial services, FinTech, operations, or platform products.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, risk management, and regulatory constraints.
  • Experience working in Agile product teams using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to work independently with directional guidance and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, servicing platforms, or enterprise workflow management systems.
  • High level knowledge of or experience with AI/ML-enabled products, intelligent automation (RPA), or workflow platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering automation and/or data-driven products in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, servicing platforms, or enterprise case management systems.
  • Experience partnering with Data Science, Engineering, or Platform teams.
  • Exposure to model risk management, data governance, or responsible AI practices.
  • Customer- and employee-centric mindset with a passion for operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and complex regulatory environments.
  • Ability to influence outcomes across matrixed teams.
  • Bias toward experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of modern product management practices, including outcome-based roadmaps and platform thinking.
  • Applicants must be able to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies.
