About the Role

This production support role focuses on large industrial superconducting MRI magnets, interfacing with production management, quality engineering, design engineering, supplier quality engineering, and production technicians. It offers an opportunity to develop a wide range of engineering skills within a medical device environment.

Responsibilities

  • Root cause analysis of production process failures
  • Troubleshooting production equipment issues
  • Process validation documentation including PFMEA, IQ, TMV, OQ/PQ
  • Statistical analysis of process data
  • Tooling and fixture design
  • Understanding of geometric dimension and tolerancing on mechanical drawings

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, with medical device manufacturing preferred
  • Understanding of welding or brazing technologies
  • Tooling design for use in welding/brazing applications
  • Automation of welding/brazing
  • Induction brazing/TIG/MIG process experience is preferred
  • Self-motivated, driven engineer with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Must reside in or within commuting distance to Lathem, NY
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
