About the Role
The UPS Store Associate is responsible for assisting customers and delivering exceptional service. This role involves processing packages, operating various office equipment, and becoming an expert in services and products to advise customers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
- Complete Notary certification and provide notary services to customers.
- Practice good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership.
- Take ownership of customer shipping needs and offer viable solutions.
- Learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
- Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and teach others.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous retail customer service experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, and internet proficiency).
- Outstanding phone skills and communication skills (verbal, written, spelling, math).
- Prompt, dependable, and responsible.
- Able to safely lift 40+ pounds.
- Willing and able to work 15-30 hours per week.
