About the Role
American Exchange Group is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Associate Designer to join the Cold Weather & Fashion Accessories team. This role will support the design and development of innovative accessories, working on existing business and new licenses. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and report to the President, Handbags & Fashion Accessories.
Responsibilities
- Create seasonal mood and trend boards
- Develop accurate artwork, repeats, and specs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Prepare design files for sampling and production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product execution matches design intent
- Support product revisions, costing updates, and presentation materials
- Stay on top of timelines, trends, and technical innovations in textiles
- Contribute ideas and assist wherever needed throughout the design process
Requirements
- 2+ years of design experience in fashion/apparel or accessories
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Detail-driven with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow
