About the Role
The Credentialing Specialist plays a vital role within the Insurance Operations Team, ensuring the expeditious procurement of provider licenses and credentialing documents. This position requires excellent time management and communication skills and reports to the Credentialing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Execute licensure and credentialing processes for new and existing providers, including obtaining required documentation and communicating with state board representatives and the Field Management Team.
- Source and maintain up-to-date information on state and federal requirements for professional licensing and credentialing.
- Report licensure and credentialing expiration dates and renewal requirements to providers and relevant internal teams.
- Collaborate with the enrollment team to ensure proper processing of provider credentials for dental plan enrollment.
- Perform other clerical and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal & written communications & customer service skills.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
