About the Role
Assists with maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the property according to company operating and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs general cleaning duties including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls and windows, dusting, polishing, and cleaning upholstery.
- Cleans and disinfects restrooms and trash rooms.
- Assists cleaning and maintenance staff as required.
- Performs apartment turnover cleaning, which may include cleaning appliances, fixtures, ceramic tile, and carpets.
- Monitors and inventories cleaning supplies.
- Assists with snow removal.
- Assists with trash removal and maintaining property appearance by picking up litter.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Fosters positive relationships with residents, communities, and agencies.
- Works patiently, professionally, and cooperatively with residents and staff.
- Enforces and adheres to company policies, rules, and regulations.
- Preserves and respects resident and applicant confidentiality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Vocational/Technical School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.
- Six months to one year cleaning/maintenance work experience preferred.
- Must possess neat and orderly work habits.
- Ability to handle emergency situations and pressure due to time sensitivity.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
- Must be able to work with arms raised over head.
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- Must be able to bend at waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, furniture, and shovel snow.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment competently.
- Proficiency in Teamwork, Integrity/Ethics, Dependability, Customer Focus, and Adaptability/Flexibility.
