About the Role
Provide technical and administrative support to various supply chain areas, including materials, distribution, procurement, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) oversight. Perform varied and complex procurement activities, maintain and replenish stockroom and VMI supplies, and coordinate workflow with off-shift employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical/administrative support to various areas of supply chain to include materials and distribution, procurement and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) oversight
- Under moderate supervision, perform varied and complex procurement activities
- Maintain and replenish all stockroom and VMI supplies
- Coordinate workflow and procurement requirements with off-shift employees
- Communicate delivery changes to suppliers
- Communicate orders to suppliers and prepare purchase orders and purchase requisitions
- Assist with reviewing and preparing monthly reports and audits
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
- Must have a good attendance record
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be able to work from heights – up to 60’
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude
- The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
