About the Role

Provides support to the Customer Service function at the Niagara Falls, NY Fused Minerals site, performing clerical functions to support the sales team and logistics network. This role works closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure manufacturing and imports meet customer delivery needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine customer service related clerical functions.
• Provides telephone and email assistance to customers and others.
• Manages the order to shipment process for a portfolio of customers.
• Breaks down Bills of Ladings from shipments and matches them with order acknowledgments.
• Initiates resolution of customer complaints.
• Performs price verification.
• Assists the team Manager with weekly KPI reports.
• Handles day-to-day logistics activities including outbound, traffic flow, shipment reservations, chartering through customer TMS, appointments, carrier quotes, and warehouse documentation.

Requirements

• Confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy when dealing with problems.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and demands.
• Problem resolution and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow prescribed steps in a process with minimal supervision.
• Some travel may be required for customer meetings or US Supply Chain network interactions.

Skills

• Strong computer skills including Google and Microsoft Office Suite.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Above average communication skills required to interact with customers.
