About the Role
Support Data for CI’s order management and investment book of record systems, and maintain accurate data for trading, performance, and risk reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day Data operational activities and act as the point of escalation for Portfolio Managers, Traders, Performance/Attribution, and Risk reporting teams.
- Provide operational and subject matter expertise across Fixed Income, Equity, and Derivatives data.
- Maintain security master file, reference data, pricing, and market data.
- Consolidate multiple external data sources, compare them, and create a single version of security master and reference data.
- Handle complex issues and inquiries for all Data Challenge Processes, including internal pricing methodology, vendor prices, custodian prices, and Reference Data.
- Monitor changes or additions to the fund list and coordinate corresponding updates to the Investment System.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and custodian compliance procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with IT on testing and implementation.
- Document business requirements for system changes.
- Document changes in current/new processes and provide training to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in finance, business, or mathematics.
- 5+ years of security master and pricing experience, or in a role supporting front office trading.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Charles River Order Management system and Bloomberg Data.
- Experience with Exchange and OTC Derivative valuations.
- Proficient in programming and data management (Python, SQL, VBA).
- Experience with Bloomberg Port and FactSet is an asset.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong logic and analytical skills.
- Effective time-management skills.
- Ability to learn, prioritize, and execute quickly.
- CFA/FRM certification is a plus.
