About the Role
Modern Family Law (MFL) is seeking 3Ls and recent graduates to participate in the MFL Academy’s Residency Program in Texas. This program offers training in family law and courtroom advocacy, mentorship, and a transition to an Associate Attorney position upon passing the Bar.
Responsibilities
- Receive training in substantive family law and courtroom advocacy.
- Receive mentorship from the MFL Learning & Development department and legal teams.
- Transition to an MFL Associate Attorney position upon passing the Bar.
- Manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
- Work as part of a team in a respectful and growth-oriented environment.
- Complete training and develop skills in client conversion.
- Proactively study, build confidence, ask questions, complete assignments, and prepare to handle client matters from start to finish upon completion of Residency.
Requirements
- Must sit for the Bar and plan to reside in the state where applying.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Be eager to learn, grow, practice, and incorporate feedback.
- Attain a passing score on the MPRE before sitting for the Bar exam.
- Timely submission and approval of Character & Fitness application by the State Bar.
- Submission of cover letter, law school transcript, and responses to candidate questionnaire.
