About the Role

The Arcadis Toronto office is seeking an Associate Principal to join its Healthcare team. This role involves collaborating with a team of healthcare architects, medical planners, and interior designers on various healthcare projects. The successful candidate will lead the planning and development of healthcare facilities, engage clients, and deliver creative solutions. This position offers an opportunity to work with collaborative teams throughout project stages, delivering innovative healthcare solutions and accepting a leadership role.

Responsibilities

Act as the Architectural project leader for the design and delivery of healthcare projects, supporting practice growth.
Participate in business development activities and client meetings to guide healthcare projects, including pre-positioning, work generation, and client relationship management.
Liaise with regional architectural and engineering leaders to maintain industry relationships and project visibility.
Mentor, coach, oversee, and manage studio members to achieve high performance and development, ensuring accountability for resource utilization and profitability.
Collaborate with technical and managerial project leads to meet key operational performance metrics.

Requirements

10-15 years of demonstrated design, planning, and leadership experience across a range of healthcare project types and scales.
Strong understanding of healthcare design and delivery.
Ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships.
Experience with strategic positioning for healthcare P3 pursuits, including client engagement, fee negotiations, responding to EOI, SOQ, RFP, and participating in interviews.
Experience managing and mentoring a team of architects, technologists, and designers.
Strong business development skills with proven ability to manage financial/business aspects of practice.
Excellent communication skills.
