About the Role
Peregrine Advisors is a data and technology innovation hub and a Benefit Corporation seeking motivated contributors to build the backend powering a federal agency's filer application processing. This role involves creating services and secure APIs for document processing, validation, and decisioning, with the opportunity to contribute to the firm's growth.
Responsibilities
- Build backend services and REST APIs in Python and FastAPI.
- Develop cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and S3.
- Implement PostgreSQL for data storage and manage identity securely.
- Contribute to the development of new capabilities, tools, and lines of business within the firm.
- Own outcomes and deliver working prototypes quickly.
Requirements
- Strong Python and hands-on experience building secure REST APIs (FastAPI or similar) on AWS.
- Proficiency in backend fundamentals including PostgreSQL, authentication and access control, and clean, automated delivery.
- Judgment to build in a regulated federal environment where security and auditability are critical.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
