About the Role
The Engineer is responsible for the analysis and design of tubular steel transmission structures and associated products. This role involves coordinating and communicating technical information with internal and external customers, preparing designs, documentation, and reports, and assisting in resolving technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications and project design criteria
- Analyze and design structures and appurtenances using software design tools, engineering documents, and structural engineering fundamentals
- Prepare design calculations and cost estimating information
- Review drawings for design conformance and customer revisions
- Coordinate customer design revisions with project management, modeling, and estimating team members
- Initiate conversations with customers and assist drafting team members to resolve problems of ambiguity during drafting of shop drawings
- Report the impact of design changes to the Project Manager
- Perform checks on designs developed by peers as needed
- Assist on deviations to designs and field issues that may arise
