About the Role
The Biz Booth serves as an information hub for the Fanshawe Student Union (FSU), providing exceptional customer service and accurate information. This role includes oversight of the Games Room, processing payments and bookings, stocking supplies, inventory management, and maintaining a clean environment. The CSR may also support the Student Services Department.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with students, providing accurate information about FSU services, events and resources
- Manage pool bookings and process payments using a cash register (debit/credit only)
- Accurately track sales/payments and complete end-of-day procedures
- Review inventory, stock, and organize supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Biz Booth and Games Room
- Supervise the Games Room and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Assist with Student Services projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study/ISWEP program
- Knowledge of the FSU’s resources and services is an asset
- Previous customer service/retail experience is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong data entry and accurate typing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor
