About the Role

Join a collaborative team delivering digital services for the public sector. You will build solutions that serve citizens, write clean and well-tested code, and grow your expertise in a supportive environment while taking ownership of features and mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain applications using .NET 8/Core and C#.
• Develop and deploy stable, well-tested fixes using Java and related frameworks.
• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions using Azure services including Functions, Service Bus, App Services, and Azure SQL.
• Follow secure coding practices to meet government security requirements and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and developers in an agile environment.
• Coach and mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain services to ensure reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Back-End Developer with a focus on Java.
• Solid experience with C# and .NET Core/6+ including dependency injection, middleware, and asynchronous programming.
• Practical experience with Azure services such as App Services, Key Vault, Azure SQL, and Service Bus.
• Working knowledge of RESTful API design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with SQL Server, database design, and optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with automated testing approaches including unit and integration tests.
• BPSS clearance required.
