About the Role

The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) role is designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and company knowledge to independently manage a financially viable PDS-supported dental office. The OMT will focus on professional development through a structured program, practical application, and mentorship, with the expectation of managing an office independently within 4-6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices.
  • Manage assessment, hiring, retention, training, supervision, counseling, and coaching of team members.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues.
  • Execute the PDS Operational Model consistently to meet office imperatives.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and adherence to cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Act as a catalyst in team development for the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Deliver effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors and report issues early.
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Gain proficiency in People related functions, including assessment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, and compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and regulatory bodies.
  • Report weekly accomplishments, areas for improvement, performance goals, and system effectiveness to the Regional Manager.
  • Demonstrate competency in managing Front Office and Back Office team members, displaying leadership and team development capabilities by the end of the development program.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and office protocols.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to travel to assigned offices.
  • In lieu of a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, must have reliable means of alternate transportation.
  • Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change without notice.

Salary/Compensations

  • $29.25-$39.25 / Hourly
