About the Role

ROAR Logistics is seeking a dynamic and driven Carrier Sales Representative to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient freight transportation, optimizing margins, and fostering strong carrier relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Source and secure qualified carriers for timely freight transportation, maximizing margins and minimizing risks.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of carriers to support ROAR's customer base and pre-plan carrier equipment usage.
  • Analyze market trends, load history, and industry publications to make informed buying decisions and negotiate competitive rates.
  • Proactively reach out to carriers to capture truckload capacity and expand fleet usage.
  • Collect and update carriers' daily and weekly capacity/availability data into the Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Ensure compliance with ROAR's carrier set-up and compliance procedures.
  • Dispatch drivers with attention to detail, inputting all pertinent driver and shipment details into the TMS system.
  • Provide ongoing communication and updates until shipment completion.
  • Act as a problem-solver and solutions-provider, addressing issues promptly and effectively for customers, carriers, and internal associates.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the ROAR Management team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Email System.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary/Compensations

  • $45,390.00 - $61,410.00
