About the Role
SOM is seeking a marketing professional to lead proposal preparation, contribute to client interviews, develop marketing collateral, conduct research, and manage Salesforce data. This role involves representing the firm, nurturing new business leads, and contributing to business plan implementation.
Responsibilities
- Leads the preparation of proposals, including outlines, schedules, and content development.
- Contributes to the selection of consultants and makes teaming recommendations.
- Contributes to client interview strategy, creates marketing collateral for interviews and presentations, and manages the interview process.
- Collaborates with leadership and the marketing team to develop materials that fulfill strategic marketing goals.
- Conducts market, leads, and potential client research.
- Develops pursuit strategy in collaboration with others.
- Contributes to market strategy development; provides insight and identifies competitive advantages.
- Engages with business plan creation and implementation within a focus area.
- References and contributes to Pursuit and Project objects in Salesforce.
- Works with Pursuit Leads to ensure data accuracy and pursuit progression.
- Uses Salesforce to track business plan implementation.
- Develops areas of expertise, either geographically or by functional market.
- Contributes to training of Marketing Coordinators and Senior Marketing Coordinators.
- Represents the firm in client and professional organizations, attends functions, and nurtures new business leads.
- Assists with other duties and tasks as may be required.
Requirements
- Completion of four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
- 5+ years experience in marketing within the A/E/C industry.
- Strong writing and graphic design skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work with senior leaders across a firm.
- Must be passionate about architectural design to undertake marketing, business development, and proposal preparation.
- Ability to work and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolios must be submitted for all design positions (Architecture, Interiors, Planning, etc). Applications without work samples will not be reviewed.
- Portfolios should be one PDF attachment, 10-20 pages, maximum 5 MB.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
- Experience with OpenAsset is a plus

Salary/Compensations
- $85,000 to $105,000
