About the Role
The Capital Allocation & Business Control (CABC) team at Liberty Global oversees capital allocation, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and liquidity management. This role balances recurring business monitoring with strategic initiatives, providing insights to executive leadership and the Board to drive value creation and optimal capital allocation across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Drive key management reporting to the Board, ELT, CEO, FLT, and CFO
- Manage the budgeting and long-range planning process for operating companies
- Collaborate with operating companies to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent reporting
- Review, analyze, and provide feedback on operating companies’ budgets and long-range plans
- Work cross-functionally to challenge business plans and ensure inputs from Tax, Working Capital, and Accounting are confirmed
- Collaborate with Strategy, M&A, Tax, and Treasury on strategic ad hoc projects
- Build detailed financial models to analyze transaction impacts and perform scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Direct and oversee the work, performance, and career goals of direct reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Relevant years of accounting/finance experience
- 1+ years of experience directly related to the responsibilities
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, business case development, modeling, and project coordination
- Experience in international or pan-European environments
- Ability to run projects and workstreams autonomously
- Ability to manage varying workstreams and deliverables across stakeholders
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the company
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong background in accounting data analytics and Excel modeling
