About the Role

Arch Insurance International is seeking an apprentice to provide administrative and technical support to the Underwriting team, focusing on processing business accounts accurately and assisting with daily tasks. This role offers the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Insurance Practitioner apprenticeship (CII Cert) and contribute to a digital-first insurance environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to the Underwriting team.
• Maintain files and accurately process and record business accounts on IT and administrative systems.
• Assist the team with ad hoc tasks such as risk research, broker meetings, and country overview reports.
• Enter submissions, rating models, quotes, and bound policies onto underwriting systems.
• Conduct account clearance procedures with other departments.
• Review quality control output and liaise with Global Services to ensure timely processing.
• Assist Underwriters with day-to-day underwriting operations.
• Prepare monthly and management reports.
• Undertake research for additional underwriting information.
• Maintain business activity logs.
• Prepare standard policy documentation for underwriter sign-off.
• Assist in resolving outstanding premium receivable issues.
• Liaise with brokers on outstanding information requirements.
• Resolve weekly processing reports.
• Manage files, including photocopying, scanning, and document management.
• Assist underwriters at the Lloyd's Box.
• Liaise with other teams, including binder management, finance, and compliance.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to emails.
