About the Role
The D.A. Collins Family of Companies is seeking a reliable individual for a position as a Geotechnical Superintendent to join a dedicated and hard-working team in Wilton Campus. This is an ideal place to grow your career.
Responsibilities
- On-site project supervision including management of field labor, equipment, materials, safety, and production.
- Study plans to ensure production meets construction specifications.
- Develop skilled craft workers and laborers.
- Oversee all onsite crew and daily tracking.
- Analyze production targets and coordinate with operations to ensure production goals are met.
- Procure tools and materials.
- Confer with all levels of staff from laborers to engineering personnel to resolve issues and improve construction methods.
- Prepare detailed progress reports and inspect work.
- Ensure all employees are in compliance with all AFS and OSHA safety requirements.
- In the event of a safety incident, work in partnership with our Safety Dept. to support employees per AFS policy.
- Log all quality nonconformance issues and work with management for resolution.
- Conduct daily safety meetings with crews and discuss job hazard analysis.
- Collect and review equipment inspection sheets.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working as a Driller.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Active Driver's license.
- Experience with various heavy construction equipment.
- Geotechnical experience is a plus.
- 30 Hour OSHA, First Aid/CPR certified and Rigging, Signaling.
- Computer skills using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills needed.
