About the Role
Join our EY Digital Euro Hub team in Berlin, Frankfurt/Main, Düsseldorf, Köln, München, Hamburg, or Stuttgart. You will advise international clients on transforming their payment landscapes and navigating the digital currency space, shaping the future of payments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in international, interdisciplinary teams to implement new payment platforms and methods (e.g., Digital Euro) and utilize new technologies (e.g., Blockchain, AI) at the intersection of business and IT.
- Analyze relevant documentation and assist in analyzing, structuring, and describing specific requirements for process, system, or organizational adjustments.
- Evaluate the current state (processes, products, services) against business, regulatory, functional, and technical requirements, and derive necessary implementation measures for new payment technologies (e.g., Digital Euro).
- Support project teams in introducing new payment technologies (e.g., Digital Euro), from strategic direction, organizational structure requirements, use case and business model development, to requirements analysis, conception, implementation, and operation.
- Assist the pan-European Digital Euro team with go-to-market strategy and execution.
- Contribute to the functional and technical advancement of our Digital Euro Solutions (Digital Euro Platform, Digital Euro University, Digital Euro Assessment Accelerator) and the EY Framework for Retail and Commercial Banks.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field.
- Affinity for the financial world and understanding of innovative technologies (e.g., Blockchain, AI, Agentic AI).
- Initial programming and prompting skills.
- Previous experience in a bank, payment service provider, management consultancy, or FinTech with a payments focus, ideally with a fundamental understanding of payment transactions.
- Very good communication skills in German (at least C1 level) and English.
