About the Role

The LEAG Clean Power GmbH is reshaping the energy landscape in Lusatia with several major projects, focusing on large-scale battery storage (BESS) and gas power plants (GKW) as key components of the energy transition. In this role, you will be responsible for the economic management and support of complex investment projects, providing the project teams and management with robust analyses and decision-making foundations.

Responsibilities

Accompany investment and energy projects from a commercial perspective throughout their entire lifecycle.
Create and further develop project budgets, cost plans, forecasts, and cash flow analyses.
Conduct variance analyses and derive appropriate control measures.
Prepare sensitivity, scenario, and risk analyses to support investment decisions.
Prepare analyses and decision-making foundations for project committees and management.
Act as a sparring partner for project management and the Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, and Finance departments on economic issues.
Support budgeting, planning, and investment processes.
Contribute to the further development of methods, standards, and tools in project and investment controlling.

Requirements

Completed degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
First to several years of professional experience in project controlling, investment controlling, controlling, or a finance environment.
Good understanding of economic contexts and interest in managing complex investment projects.
Ideally, experience in creating and analyzing budgets or forecasts.
Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent way of working.
Ability to present complex issues in an audience-appropriate and understandable manner.
Enjoy working with interdisciplinary project teams.
Proficient in MS Excel.
Very good German and good English language skills.
