About the Role

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our Finance team in Berlin. You'll take ownership of the group's most complex accounting topics, focusing on monthly reporting, group consolidation, year-end procedures, and audit readiness across our multi-entity European structure, while keeping the bigger picture in view at all times. You'll be the go-to expert and sparring partner for demanding accounting and reporting topics, helping us maintain the highest standards in financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all entities.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the group consolidation process in Lucanet, including intercompany eliminations and ensuring consolidated financial data is consistent and audit-ready.
  • Handle intercompany accounting end-to-end, including reconciliation and documentation across European entities.
  • Prepare and review complex accrual calculations, provisions, and cost accruals for completeness and accuracy.
  • Drive AP & AR clean-up projects, identifying and resolving aged items, mispostings, and open reconciling items.
  • Support transfer pricing by preparing documentation in collaboration with external tax advisors.
  • Act as a sparring partner for external auditors, handling queries and coordinating documentation.
  • Support the monthly reporting cycle by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany positions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to support a smooth and efficient year-end closing process.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve and automate consolidation, reporting, and documentation workflows.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to enhance the quality and scalability of Finance operations.
  • Closely collaborate with Billing and FP&A functions to ensure clean and accurate financial data.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in (group) accounting, financial reporting, or audit.
  • Experience at a Big 4 firm is a strong plus.
  • Solid, hands-on knowledge of HGB (German GAAP), group consolidation, and month-end close.
  • Comfortable owning processes end-to-end in a multi-entity environment.
  • Ability to get the details right while understanding the broader financial reporting landscape.
  • Ability to prioritize, flag risks early, and add value beyond the immediate task.
  • Enjoy working through financial data with a critical, structured eye.
  • Experience with tools like Lucanet and DATEV.
  • Proactive and confident working with colleagues, external auditors, and tax advisors.
  • Fluent in English and comfortable using it in meetings, reporting, and documentation.
  • German language skills are a strong plus.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
