About the Role
The Production Operator – Wheel Assembly Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the tire changer and any assigned secondary equipment. They must use required equipment, tooling, and measuring devices to ensure a quality product and follow management direction.
Responsibilities
- Install runflats without damage to the wheel and tire, ensuring no unnecessary components or tools are left inside the assembly.
- Follow proper start-up and shut-down procedures for tire installation machines.
- Report any issues with tire installation machines to management and assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance when safe and appropriate.
- Adhere to all applicable environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures.
- Immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
- Participate in developing and updating risk assessments and review applicable risk assessments annually.
Requirements

- Retains all qualifications of Production Operator Job Description.
- Previous experience working with a tire changer is preferred.
- A reasonable level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail is needed to properly install runflats in the correct sequence using designated tools and fixturing without creating quality defects.
- Ability to work with chemicals in the proper environment and while wearing PPE.
