About the Role
As a Senior Analyst on the Structured Finance team, you will contribute to financing late-stage development projects, gain exposure to multiple facets of a growing industry, rapidly develop your career, and work closely with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Perform asset valuation for Solar, storage, and natural gas/firm generation projects.
- Support the maintenance of financial models for project financing transactions.
- Provide transaction and due diligence support for project financings and asset acquisitions & sales.
- Develop investment recommendation memos evaluating project risk & return profiles.
- Conduct valuation and investment analysis for the firm’s Financial Sponsors and Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with other Cypress Creek teams to develop a valuation thesis for all key markets.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree (MBAs welcome).
- At least three years of Excel-based financial modeling experience, preference for solar/storage/gas valuation experience.
- At least three years of finance experience in investment banking, private equity, principal investing, structured/project finance, corporate development, and/or corporate finance/FP&A.
- Knowledge of energy markets and a variety of energy technologies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong desire to work in the energy industry.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
- Organized, diligent, and able to track/manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis.
- Formal credit and underwriting training a plus.
- Successful completion of an Excel-based modeling test will be required.
