About the Role
The role involves maintaining guest rooms and public areas to high standards, ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt service, and adhering to safety and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
- Transport supplies to assigned areas using a cart
- Enter guest rooms following established access and vacancy procedures
- Replace guest amenities, supplies, linens, and terry
- Make beds and fold terry
- Clean bathrooms and remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
- Verify appliances are present and in working order
- Straighten furniture and desk items
- Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
- Perform vacuuming and floor care in guest rooms and hallways
- Follow all company, safety, and security policies
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Properly store flammable materials
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- Anticipate and address guest service needs
- Assist individuals with disabilities
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Communicate using clear and professional language
- Support team members to reach common goals
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
Requirements
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing over 25 pounds with assistance
- Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart over sloping and uneven surfaces
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift
- Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
