About the Role
Ward Security is seeking enthusiastic Security Dog Handlers to join their Canine Team. The role involves patrolling client sites, acting as a visual deterrent, and ensuring the safety of sites and individuals through rapid response and behavior detection skills. Physical fitness is essential for patrolling and maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Patrol client sites with a trained security dog to deter threats
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain high levels of vigilance and awareness
- Ensure your dog’s health and welfare – regular feeding, grooming, and training
- Write clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients and the public
Requirements
- A valid SIA licence
- A manual UK driving licence with a clean record
- A secure, suitable home for a security dog
- Flexibility to work varied shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Good physical fitness and alertness
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence in writing legible, professional reports
