About the Role

As a working student, you will support the management of the Berlin office and the Group Public Affairs team. This role involves monitoring political and regulatory developments, organizing tasks, and preparing strategic planning materials. You will also contribute to communication measures, internal coordination, and networking activities with political stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the Berlin office and the Group Public Affairs team with monitoring reports and analyses on political and regulatory developments at national and European levels.
  • Prepare topics for the Public Affairs team.
  • Undertake organizational tasks and preparatory work for the Public Affairs team's strategy planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefings, position papers, background papers, and presentations for internal purposes and for engagement with political decision-makers, associations, and organizations.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and follow-up of communication measures and events.
  • Participate in internal coordination with other departments and the implementation of cross-divisional measures and projects.
  • Engage in networking activities of the Berlin office by attending meetings with politics, authorities, associations, NGOs, think tanks, and other companies.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program with an affinity for the mentioned topics (e.g., Political Science, Economics, Law, Communication Studies, Sustainability/Environmental Management).
  • Availability for 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Strong interest in economic and industrial policy, political developments, and working in a large industrial company.
  • Proficient in spoken and written German and English with sensitivity for addressing different target groups.
  • Ability to grasp topics quickly and structure them.
  • Enjoys dynamic teamwork.
  • Ideally, some experience in political advocacy, corporate communications, project management, or working in a corporate context.
