About the Role

Teneo is seeking an Associate Consultant to provide research and insight for client advisory services in financial communications. This role involves supporting companies in their engagement with media, financial audiences, and stakeholders to manage risk, maximize opportunities, and build corporate reputation. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, creative, collaborative, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Provide client-facing support and build relationships with clients, media, and advisors.
Draft communications materials such as press releases, Q&A, and key messages for corporate milestones.
Manage media relations on behalf of clients and develop contact networks.
Proactively identify opportunities and potential concerns for clients.
Deliver core support, research, and insight to the client team.
Conduct media monitoring for clients and competitors, analyzing context and implications.
Monitor sell-side analyst coverage, share price performance, and valuation.
Support new business development through opportunity spotting, research, and pitch material preparation.

Requirements

Six months to three years of experience in a similar environment (e.g., financial communications agency, public relations, investor relations, capital markets, financial analysis, management consulting, or media).
Knowledge of and interest in financial communications, investor relations, and capital markets.
Basic knowledge of general business trends and stock markets.
Interest in current affairs.
Ability to understand client business objectives and industry dynamics.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work proactively and flexibly within a team.
Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines and a varied workload.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Intellectually curious and resilient.
