About the Role

Join our team and support those who create music. We are looking for a Junior Manager for Legal & Business Affairs to join us at our Berlin or Hamburg location, starting as soon as possible, for a full-time, 2-year fixed-term position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-level legal advice and act as a sparring partner for our departments, particularly in civil law, copyright law, collecting society law, competition law, trademark law, IT law, and corporate law.
  • Draft and negotiate artist and band acquisition agreements, licensing agreements, broadcaster rights agreements, and other contracts with a focus on civil and copyright law.
  • Manage legal and administrative proceedings, working closely with external legal counsel.
  • Handle contract administration tasks.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed the first state examination in law; the second state examination is ideal.
  • Sound legal knowledge in civil, commercial, and copyright law; knowledge in collecting society law, competition law, trademark law, and corporate law is a plus.
  • Entry-level candidates with initial experience in relevant legal areas are welcome.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Confident user of word processing and office applications.
  • Team player with flexibility, resilience, reliability, and a quick grasp of concepts.
