About the Role

Join our team and support those who create music. We are looking for a Junior Manager for Legal & Business Affairs for our Berlin or Hamburg location, full-time, limited to 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and act as a sparring partner for internal departments, particularly in civil law, copyright law, performance rights organizations law, competition law, trademark law, IT law, and corporate law.
  • Draft and negotiate artist, band acquisition, and licensing agreements, broadcaster rights agreements, and other contracts with a focus on civil and copyright law.
  • Manage legal and administrative proceedings, collaborating closely with external legal counsel.
  • Handle contract administration tasks.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed the first state examination in law; the second state examination is ideal.
  • Sound legal knowledge in civil, commercial, and copyright law; knowledge in performance rights organizations law, competition law, trademark law, and corporate law is ideal.
  • Entry-level candidates with initial experience in relevant legal areas are welcome.
  • Passion for music and new media.
  • Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
  • Proficient in word processing and office applications.
  • Team player, flexible, resilient, reliable, and quick to grasp new concepts.
