About the Role
This role involves performing welding inspections to ensure compliance with project and company standards, contributing to the safe and high-quality execution of construction activities on the Hinkley Point C project.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, consistent, and competent welding inspection before, during, and after welding in accordance with project/company requirements, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure all work scope is completed safely, with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric, or the environment.
- Read, understand, and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices, and procedures.
- Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings/sketches.
- Provide inspection support to construction activities as part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
- Compile complete quality documentation in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
- Possess thorough knowledge of fabrication and NDT techniques, including VT, PT, and MT.
- Possess thorough knowledge of QC Inspection and Dimensional Inspection techniques.
Requirements
- CSWIP 3.1 welding inspector or 3.2 senior welding inspector.
- CSWIP/PCN Level II, Penetrant Testing.
- Significant experience as a Welding Inspector.
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
