About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with broad knowledge of concepts, technology, and domain insights to develop and deliver world-class software solutions. You will be responsible for building software and providing technical tooling and advice to enable ventures to operate safely and at speed within a regulated environment. You should be comfortable communicating with a wide range of roles across the ventures and help establish and evolve technology policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript
Partner with product, design, and QA to ship high-quality features that solve real user problems
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
Contribute to and uphold engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability
Lead by example in identifying and resolving technical debt, improving performance, and increasing system reliability
Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
Own features from discovery through to delivery and ongoing support
Champion engineering excellence by advocating for best practices, including code quality, testing, observability, and documentation across broader x15 engineering community

Requirements

5+ years of programming and software development experience
Experience and comfort in Typescript and Node
Proven experience building modern front-end experiences using modern web technologies such as Next/Remix, React etc.
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and use of ORMs (e.g., Prisma or TypeORM)
Solid experience writing automated tests and working with testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and using tools like Docker, GitHub Actions, or similar for CI/CD
Experience in designing UX + UI is preferred
A good knowledge of web security and its application experience implementing practices in web applications
Demonstrated ability to take ownership beyond functional requirements—ensuring system stability, resilience, and tech quality
