About the Role
This role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to resolve data issues, supporting the defect resolution process, and acting as a subject matter expert for data and technology. The position also contributes to the integration of new data services and sources, documents product specifications, and writes SQL DML statements to address production data issues.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal technical and business teams including SaaS Ops, Alpha Cloud Ops, Alpha Data Ops and clients to resolve data issues.
- Support the defect resolution process by collaborating with the development team in understanding the root cause of data issues and ensuring all defects are fixed.
- Act as a data and technology subject matter expert to resolve and debug all issues.
- Understand data, its relation to the process, and where it needs to be fixed when an issue occurs.
- Contribute to the integration of new data services and sources by participating in requirements gathering, testing, and supporting newly developed features.
- Document product specifications and prepare business cases to drive development in scaled agile teams.
- Write and review standard query language data manipulation language (SQL DML) statements to resolve time-critical production data issues.
- Enforce and enhance standard operating procedures, including client-specific requirements covering triage, escalation, and resolution.
- Enforce and enhance procedures to communicate status and progress of issue resolution to all stakeholders.
- Continually assess and contribute to product enhancements, software quality, and other improvements for issue monitoring and triage.
- Apply knowledge of data management, data governance, service catalogue, data lineage tools, operational dashboards, and processing monitoring tools.
- Apply knowledge of internal and external integrations, triage issues, and implement/recommend solutions to system data problems and anomalies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of related experience in Finance and Banking industries.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience in Finance and Banking industries.
- Demonstrated solid communication skills across all channels and levels of recipients including team members, colleagues, and clients at all levels.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of financial data to comprehend issues when they occur.
- Proven experience managing data as front, middle, and back office support.
- Proven experience with financial services data domains – security master, benchmarks positions, transactions, cash, performance, and/or analytics.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in SQL.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data management, data governance, service catalogue, data lineage tools, operational dashboards, and process monitoring tools.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following: Azure cloud platforms, Kettle, Talend, Qlik Replicate, Qlik Compose, Kafka, or Snowflake.
- Demonstrated knowledge of internal and external integrations, triage issues, and ability to implement/recommend solutions to data problems and anomalies.

Salary/Compensations
- $146,806 - $176,000 Annual
