About the Role

AbbVie is seeking an intern to join their Government Affairs Team in Berlin starting October 2026. This role offers the opportunity to shape the political communication of an innovative biopharmaceutical company and gain insights into the daily operations of the pharmaceutical industry. You will support the team in various tasks within the German health policy environment, with the chance to accompany and shape political processes. You will work in a small, dedicated team with numerous interfaces to other company divisions.

Responsibilities

Independent execution of research in the healthcare system and health policy
Preparation of health policy topics and political analyses of AbbVie-relevant issues
Creation of PowerPoint presentations, position papers, and briefing documents
Support in communication with internal and external stakeholders
Support in planning and executing events
Support in office organization and administration

Requirements

Valid enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program for the entire duration of the internship, e.g., in Political Science, Sociology, Communication Studies, Business Administration, Health Economics, or a comparable discipline
Understanding and knowledge of the German healthcare system and German politics
Excellent communication skills, commitment, and creativity
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially PowerPoint
Very good written and spoken German and English skills
