About the Role

Perform various tasks to aid daily operations at an industrial manufacturing facility, including assembling and building crates for pumps and motors, preparing items for outbound shipping, and loading/unloading materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate compressors and other small power equipment such as drills and band saws.
• Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment.
• Follow all company policies as described in the employee handbook.
• Support the production by removing waste as a daily routine.
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
• Mark, record, and report defects.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of standard measuring equipment (tape measures etc.).
• Skill in reading specific work instructions for a made-to-order product.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to perform repetitive lifting/bending/stretching in a hot/humid/dusty environment.
• Previous hands-on experience in using overhead and jib cranes as well as typical material handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks).
• Sense of urgency and capable of working in a time-sensitive environment.
• Team-oriented perspective, adaptability, and the capability of working independently.
