About the Role
This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and the workshop, ensuring clear communication regarding vehicle repairs and progress. The technician will perform road tests, review job cards, request additional information, and update customers. They will also handle or advise on complex repairs and liaise with technical support when needed. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a minimum of 50% productivity, with incentives tied to departmental productivity and customer satisfaction scores.
Responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between customers and the workshop.
- Carry out road tests and review job cards.
- Request additional information for repairs when necessary.
- Inform customers on the progress of their vehicle repairs.
- Complete or advise on more involved and complicated repairs.
- Liaise with prior approval/Ford technical for assistance or pre-diagnosis.
- Ensure all jobs are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain a high level of department productivity.
- Replace components, parts, lubricants, and consumables, and record usage.
- Adhere to strict Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- A successful track record in a similar role, ideally within a franchised dealership environment.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
