About the Role
The Development Assessment team at Randwick City Council seeks a professional to assess and manage a diverse caseload of applications, including major developments in Kensington and Kingsford town centres, and various commercial, industrial, open space, housing, and subdivision applications.
Responsibilities
- Negotiating, managing, and assessing a caseload of diverse applications.
- Assessing major developments in the Kensington and Kingsford town centres.
- Assessing a wide range of commercial, industrial, open space, housing, and subdivision applications.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification/s in town planning, building surveying, architecture or urban design.
- Extensive experience in the assessment of complex planning matters (preferably with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience).
- Excellent knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and other relevant environmental and planning legislation.
- Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated high quality report writing skills.
- Strong focus on and commitment to quality customer experience.
- Current and valid Class C Australian Drivers licence.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Check with a result of no relevant adverse findings.
