About the Role
Seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our Civil team in New South Wales, contributing to major roads, highways, and rail projects. This role suits individuals who enjoy technical complexity, understand major project delivery, and are motivated by creating meaningful long-term outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver transport infrastructure design packages from concept development through to detailed design and construction issue.
- Manage design scope, programme, budget, and resources across multiple project stages.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated, practical, and buildable outcomes.
- Work closely with contractors, stakeholders, and authorities (including TfNSW) to support successful project delivery.
- Review and guide design outputs to meet quality, safety, sustainability, and constructability requirements.
Requirements
- Seasoned civil engineer with proven experience as a Design Manager in a consultancy environment.
- Strong experience delivering major transport infrastructure projects across roads, highways, and rail.
- Solid understanding of design and construct delivery, including the coordination of complex, multidisciplinary design packages.
- Ability to manage technical outcomes in fast-paced project environments while maintaining quality and constructability.
- Experience delivering projects to TfNSW or RMS standards is essential.
- New South Wales project experience is highly regarded.
