About the Role

Based in Beverley Park, this role supports people with disabilities to live their best lives by providing active and behaviour support, managing behaviours of concern, and engaging clients to promote choice and participation in activities. The role is part of the Supported Independent Living (SIL) team, working in shared housing and providing personal care and daily living support within a 24/7 roster.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Requirements

• Experience working with people with intellectual disability and mental health
• Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Comfortable to drive a large van to support community access
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Ability to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check
• Ability to obtain an NDIS Clearance
