Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Support mobility, transfers, and safe movement — including mechanical lifts
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when required
  • Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Monitor client wellbeing and report changes in condition to the care team
  • Follow individualized care plans and document care activities accurately
  • Support clients with light household tasks related to their care
  • Accompany clients during outings or appointments when required

Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or approved equivalent
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to travel between client homes in your region
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal care instructions
  • Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to start
  • Experience working with seniors or individuals with chronic conditions
  • Nursing students or internationally trained nurses — welcome to apply
  • Previous homecare experience
  • Every other weekend availability

  • $20.50 – $22.30 hourly wage depending on experience
