About the Role

DoorDash is seeking an Associate Manager, Strategy & Operations to manage the In-Store business's Marketing product portfolio, acting as a liaison between Product, GTM, and merchants. This role involves end-to-end ownership of marketing SKUs (Email, SMS, WhatsApp) throughout their lifecycle, from testing to global launch and optimization. The position requires driving complex projects with minimal guidance, managing commercialization aspects, and identifying new product opportunities through market sizing and competitive research.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and commercialization of marketing SKUs (Email, Text/SMS, and WhatsApp Marketing) globally.
  • Manage MVP definition, legal terms, FAQs, sales pitching, and pricing & packaging for marketing products.
  • Drive adoption, attach rate, and revenue growth across the marketing product portfolio.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for the marketing portfolio, building business cases for new products, features, or channels.
  • Act as a strategic project conductor across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Bring cross-functional teams together, gather requirements, manage timelines, and drive initiatives forward without direct authority.
  • Establish clear metrics for success, assign project components, and remove or escalate roadblocks.
  • Develop deep fluency in email and SMS deliverability, consent and compliance, guest segmentation, CRM, and engagement-to-conversion economics.
  • Make informed pricing, packaging, and roadmap decisions based on channel mechanics.
  • Size market opportunities and conduct competitive research for the region.
  • Analyze customer segments, closed-lost deals, and global nuances for product strategies.
  • Uncover trends, analyze product adoption and channel performance, and monitor competitive dynamics through data analysis.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Translate ambiguous project scopes into structured, actionable plans.
  • Communicate updates, roadblocks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Anticipate and manage obstacles and risks to strategic projects, developing mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in project management, consulting, strategy & operations, or product/GTM strategy.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology, SaaS, or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to own a portfolio of initiatives end-to-end and drive them to a high level of quality with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrated ownership, autonomy, and initiative to drive change.
  • Skill in identifying issues, assessing risks, and finding creative, pragmatic solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and workstreams with accuracy and dependability.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to come to meetings with a clear point of view and push back when necessary.
  • Skilled at influencing others and bringing people together to drive results.
  • Analytical mindset with proven experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Ability to translate raw data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to build models to evaluate potential opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong data analysis skills and high spreadsheet comfort.
  • Deep sense of empathy for user challenges and pain points.
  • Experience in hospitality tech, a consumer-facing app, or a B2B2C environment is a nice-to-have.
  • Working understanding of email, SMS, and/or WhatsApp marketing—including deliverability, opt-in/consent, and channel compliance—is a strong nice-to-have.
