About the Role
Intel's Sort Test Technology Development (STTD) team seeks a versatile Software & Infrastructure Engineer to architect, build, and maintain cloud-native applications and distributed systems for semiconductor manufacturing and testing. This hybrid role requires full-stack ownership across cloud and on-premises environments, focusing on security, reliability, automation, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug cloud-native applications, platform services, and automation tools.
- Build and maintain distributed systems including APIs, microservices, data services, and job orchestration platforms.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, including servers, VMs, and Kubernetes (k8s) clusters.
- Support on-premises compute and virtualization platforms.
- Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation for build, deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Manage OS lifecycle operations including patching, validation, and change management processes.
- Provide operational support through monitoring, logging, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS Security Clearance and SCI access.
- 4+ years of experience in software development (e.g., C#/.NET, Java, C++, Go, Python) including designing, testing, and debugging.
- Experience working with Azure and/or on-prem infrastructure (servers/VMs, virtualization, containers, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud-native tools, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and their integration within on-prem cloud and virtualized environments.
- Experience in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Ansible) and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
