About the Role

Wizcorp is seeking a Senior Effects Artist (VFX) for projects on next-generation game consoles. This role offers the opportunity to work globally within our group companies, exposing you to diverse art styles and enriching your experience and skills. Responsibilities

• Engage in all aspects of effect design and production for game development.
• Collaborate with planners and programmers to devise and create effects aligned with game design.
• Produce effects, including simulation, texturing, modeling, and setup.
• Provide technical support for effect production.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in game development effect production.
• Must reside in Japan during employment with Wizcorp.
• Must reside in Japan to work at Wizcorp.

Skills

• Specialized techniques or knowledge in effect production processes.
• Experience with multiple DCC tools such as Houdini, Unreal (Niagara), and Maya.
• Experience creating effects using Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Knowledge of shaders and scripting.
• Experience in project leadership or management.
• Understanding of English and experience in English-required production environments.
• Knowledge of high-end 3DCG graphics.
• Experience negotiating with and managing external companies.
