About the Role

Young Entrepreneurs in Science (YES) encourages doctoral students, master's students, and postdocs to explore their entrepreneurial spirit and develop their own ideas. Through interactive workshops, we impart entrepreneurial skills and innovation methods, opening up new perspectives on entrepreneurial career paths. We foster exchange between science and business through networking events. Our multiplier approach creates sustainable impact in universities and research institutions.

Responsibilities

Strategic shaping and impact management of the overall project in close collaboration with the Quality Manager.
Conception, application, and administration of funding (German and EU programs), including concept development, budget planning, and process coordination.
Coordination and steering of the overall project as an interface to sub-programs, organizational initiatives, external partners, and the project sponsor.
Financial and resource management for the overall project (approx. €1 million/year), including budget planning, forecasting, fund management, and collaboration with the finance department.
Organization of central project processes such as committee work, contract management, and maintenance of project-relevant data and contacts in the CRM system.
External representation of the project through network maintenance and expansion, event participation, moderation, and presentations.
Development and support of cooperations and financing options, including acquisition of potential funding and financing partners.
Joint leadership and further development of the project team with the second project lead, including personnel development, resource planning, and support for recruiting and selection processes.

Requirements

Minimum Master's degree.
Very good German and English language skills.
Expertise in science transfer and a corresponding network.
Strong interest in science & innovation, research transfer, and start-ups.
Ideally, experience in impact management and steering.
Experience in administering public funding with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience in budget planning and management of comparable budgets (approx. €1 million per year).
Ideally, experience in developing business models.
Minimum of two years of leadership experience, ideally in the non-profit sector.
Enjoyment of collaboration in a dual leadership structure and regular sparring.
Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for team and personnel development, with high self-reflection in the leadership role.
Ideally, experience in team and individual coaching and fostering a constructive feedback and error culture.
Strong self-organization and structured way of working.
Experience with or interest in an agile team and work culture (e.g., role-based and iterative work, dailies, and retrospectives).
Enjoyment of business trips, stage presence, and building/maintaining networks.
