About the Role
Accelerate the adoption and commercial growth of Repligen’s Process Analytics portfolio by partnering with biopharmaceutical manufacturers to optimize bioprocesses through real-time process monitoring and data-driven manufacturing. Serve as the technical sales expert, collaborating with internal teams to position integrated PAT solutions that improve process understanding and manufacturing efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth for Repligen’s Process Analytics portfolio within the assigned territory.
- Develop strategic account plans focused on expanding Repligen’s presence within existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
- Generate demand through proactive engagement with bioprocess scientists, engineers, and manufacturing leaders.
- Build executive-level relationships with key decision makers responsible for process development, manufacturing, MSAT, digital manufacturing, and analytical sciences.
- Consistently achieve or exceed annual bookings, revenue, and margin objectives.
- Serve as the technical commercial expert for Repligen’s Process Analytics solutions, including inline spectroscopy, chemometrics, variable path length spectroscopy, inline concentration measurement, PAT software, data integration, real-time process monitoring, and process data analytics.
- Work with customers to integrate these technologies into cell culture process development, bioreactor monitoring, protein purification, chromatography operations, TFF, UF/DF operations, continuous bioprocessing, process scale-up, and technology transfer.
- Conduct scientific discussions with process development scientists and manufacturing teams to identify process challenges and optimization opportunities.
- Deliver technical presentations, seminars, webinars, and customer workshops.
- Lead product demonstrations and proof-of-concept evaluations.
- Support customer implementation in collaboration with Repligen Field Application Scientists.
- Translate customer manufacturing objectives into value-based technical solutions.
- Partner closely with Regional Account Managers, Field Application Scientists, Product Management, Marketing, Service, Engineering, Applications Development, and Global Commercial Leadership.
- Provide market intelligence regarding customer needs, competitive technologies, emerging manufacturing trends, new application opportunities, and Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback.
- Represent Repligen at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and customer events.
- Build relationships with industry thought leaders and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Identify emerging opportunities in monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, vaccines, cell therapy, gene therapy, and other advanced biologics.
- Promote adoption of Process Analytical Technology (PAT), digital bioprocessing, and advanced manufacturing solutions.
- Develop and execute local/regional territory sales strategies and territory management plans to meet and exceed sales and profitability targets.
- Drive prospecting, direct sales, and negotiations of analytical laboratory systems and in-process capital instrumentation to biopharmaceutical and bioprocessing industries.
- Establish and maintain Strategic Key Account relationships by implementing and updating account planning.
- Identify, nurture, and focus on key accounts and key opinion leaders to drive innovation and market adoption.
- Provide accurate and timely sales reports, opportunity management, and forecasting reports using CRM, Salesforce.com.
- Analyze and deliver information to R&D and Product Management teams on Voice-of-Customer, competitive landscape, and market trends to develop strategies on product positioning and appropriate product development.
- Attend strategic conferences/events specific to drive the business.
- Involve or lead projects and assignments as part of the professional development opportunity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related life sciences field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- 5–10+ years of experience in bioprocess development, biomanufacturing, applications, or technical sales.
- Strong knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocessing workflows.
- Experience with process analytical technologies, spectroscopy, or bioprocess instrumentation.
- Demonstrated success selling complex capital equipment or technical solutions into the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent consultative selling, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 40–60% within the assigned territory.
- Experience with PAT implementation in GMP manufacturing.
- Familiarity with inline spectroscopy technologies, including Raman, UV/Vis, fluorescence, and concentration measurement systems.
- Experience supporting monoclonal antibody, recombinant protein, vaccine, plasma-derived, cell therapy, or gene therapy manufacturing.
- Experience collaborating with MSAT, process development, manufacturing sciences, and automation teams.
