About the Role
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst at Lidl, your input will be crucial in driving business impact through data and insight. This role supports internal stakeholders and senior management by delivering outstanding insight to generate business value. You will work on diverse projects impacting decision-making across the entire business and collaborate closely with Data Science and Management Accounting teams.
Responsibilities
- Support all national departments by generating trusted data views for reporting and analysis.
- Develop, test, and implement solutions that provide the business with the ability to gain insight from data.
- Gather, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources to create new insights.
- Define and support governance for new methods of data retrieval through documentation and training.
- Provide innovative reporting solutions, including process improvements and automation.
- Manage projects end-to-end: defining requirements, conducting test cases, demonstrating value, and supporting implementation/adoption.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues to ensure understanding and trust in solutions and insights.
- Achieve high technical standards for solutions, ensuring they are appropriate, comprehensible, well-structured, and reproducible.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of SQL is essential.
- Knowledge of Python and/or VBA is desirable.
- Curious, self-motivated, and proactive individual with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work on projects and solve problems independently.
- Experience of project and stakeholder management.
- Ability to liaise and communicate at both a technical and non-technical level.
- Keen eye for detail and good quality control.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver accurate results.
- Excellent presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
