About the Role
As a Sr Lead UX/UI Designer, you will own and drive end-to-end UX/UI strategy and execution for Activision’s digital platform experiences, including callofduty.com, activision.com, and other connected web and application experiences. You will operate as a principal-level individual contributor responsible for leading complex initiatives, defining user experience direction, and delivering high-quality design solutions that support both player needs and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead UX/UI strategy and execution for large-scale digital platform initiatives.
- Drive end-to-end experience design across web and application-based products.
- Create high-quality UX flows, interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Project Managers, and Marketing stakeholders to define and deliver digital experiences.
- Own design decisions and provide clear rationale informed by user behavior, research, analytics, and business objectives.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems, accessibility standards, and UX best practices.
- Lead design critiques and contribute to raising overall craft quality across the team.
- Help define scalable workflows and collaborative design processes.
- Support usability testing, experimentation, and data-informed optimization efforts.
- Stay current with emerging UX, UI, gaming, and digital product trends.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design for digital products and platforms.
- Proven experience leading complex UX/UI initiatives across web and/or mobile experiences.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality UX thinking, visual design, interaction design, and systems thinking.
- Deep understanding of modern UX methodologies, accessibility, responsive design, and component-based systems.
- Ability to independently lead projects and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Project Management teams.
- Strong understanding of user research, usability testing, and data-informed design decisions.
- Passion for gaming and player-focused digital experiences preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced product organizations preferred.
