About the Role

This position focuses on building out Blackstone Credit & Insurance Group’s (BXCI) growing credit investing business in Japan. The role involves collaborating with senior leadership to execute BXCI’s growth strategy in the region, originating new opportunities, managing existing investments, and fundraising. As deal teams are typically small, a Senior Associate / Principal is expected to take leadership roles in screening, analyzing, and structuring investment opportunities, and leading client and internal meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.

Responsibilities

Analyzing and modeling credit opportunities across a wide variety of product types
Preparing presentations and memoranda to analyze investment opportunities, financial strategies, and business performance
Assisting in the onboarding and monitoring of investments
Facilitating the structuring and execution of funding and securitisations
Managing business risks through the execution of interest rate swaps and foreign currency forwards
Analyzing and modeling new strategic initiatives and business development opportunities for BXCI’s business

Requirements

Prior buy side, investment banking, securitisation or other relevant experience of 8+ years
Demonstrated acquisition and financing transaction experience
Ability to work well in a team-driven working group
Highly motivated, intelligent, with sound judgment
Demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors
